Paul Charchian started the Fantasy Football Weekly Magazine in 1993 along with Rob Phythian. The magazine, in tabloid format, provided the first in-season weekly content ever created in the fantasy sports industry.

Later he started fanball.com which became one of the biggest fantasy sports content websites and included a fantasy Commissioner built in-house. Fanball included a syndicated radio show and eventually produced preseason annual magazines. He also created the Fantasy Football Expo in 1996 where they brought in NFL players to talk to fans.

In 2009 he became the Fantasy Sports Trade Association (FSTA now FSGA) president which he held for 11 years. He helped grow the business and helped many small businesses survive and grow as president. He got his first taste of fantasy football when he participated in a draft in middle school in 1980.
